Theories are possible explanations, strategies, or facts that Loophole is actively investigating for your problem. They help ensure nothing is overlooked and that every angle is considered - even ones you may not have thought of at first.
Why Theories Exist
Most problems have more than one possible explanation or solution. Theories let Loophole:
Explore ideas that might be true but aren’t confirmed yet.
Test multiple angles at once without getting locked into one version of events.
Give you a clear view into how we’re thinking about your problem - not just what’s already “proven.”
Where Do Theories Come From?
Theories can come from:
You: When you tell us what you suspect, believe, or wonder about your situation.
Loophole AI & Research Console: When our system spots a pattern, loophole, possible motive, or policy angle in your documents, answers, or the evidence you upload.
Ongoing investigation: When new information surfaces, Loophole AI may generate new theories on the fly.
How Theories Work
Every theory describes a possibility - not something that’s proven (yet), but something that could impact your outcome. Examples:
“This review was posted in retaliation.”
“Reviewer may be a competitor.”
“Landlord is retaliating after a complaint.”
Loophole researches each theory in the background. You’ll see the current set of theories in your Problem Dashboard, organized by status.
Theory Statuses
You’ll always see your theories grouped into three columns:
Ready
These theories are ready for you to review and respond to.
What can you do?
Click a theory to view its details, see all the supporting evidence, and decide what to do next.
You can approve it (if it matches your experience) - the relevant parts then get promoted to Key Facts, which drive Loophole’s strategy and automated actions.
Or, you can ask a question about it or counter it if something doesn’t fit.
Researching
These are theories that have been suggested but still need more evidence or analysis.
Research Console is working in the background to confirm or disprove them.
You’ll see a progress bar as the system researches.
Once a theory is ready for your input, it moves to the Ready column.
Closed
The theory process is finished. Closed theories are either:
Promoted to Key Fact: Confirmed and now used for all future strategy.
Inconclusive: We couldn’t get enough evidence to confirm or deny it.
Unfounded: We found evidence against the theory and dismissed it.
Closed theories stay visible for your records, so you always know what was considered and why.
How Do Theories Affect My Problem?
You are in control: Theories don’t become Key Facts unless you approve them.
Theories help guide what Loophole investigates, automates, or escalates for your problem.
They ensure every possible path is explored before moving forward.
What Should I Do with Theories?
Review them: Click into any Ready theory, see the details, and approve or challenge it.
Propose your own: If you have an idea or concern that’s not listed, bring it up - Loophole can research it as a new theory.
Keep an eye on 'Researching': These will update automatically as Loophole researches. You will also receive an email when a theory is ready for your review.
Check Closed for transparency: See which ideas were confirmed, which weren’t, and why.
Why Should I Care?
Theories are the backbone of Loophole’s “no stone unturned” approach. They keep your problem from getting stuck or missing hidden opportunities. Theories you confirm will drive the scripts, emails, calls, and strategies Loophole builds for you.
Summary:
Theories are how Loophole makes sure your problem is seen from every possible angle. They’re possibilities, not facts - until you (and the system) confirm them.
Stay engaged with your theories, and you’ll get the smartest, most comprehensive intelligence Loophole can provide.
