How Browser Console Credits Work
Browser Console uses Tool Action Credits (TACs) to bill for automated browser time.
Each TAC gives you 20 minutes of active Browser Console time, tracked per Problem.
When Does a New Credit Get Used?
A new Browser Console credit (TAC) is consumed only when your current 20 minutes of active automation time is used up on a given Problem.
Time only accrues while Browser Console is running automation - not while you’re reviewing, approving steps, or waiting.
Your 20 minutes can be spread across multiple sessions, steps, and days within the same Problem.
You do NOT use a new credit just because you pause, stop, or come back later.
You only use a new credit when your total browser time for that Problem exceeds the 20-minute mark.
How Will I Know When a New Credit Will Be Used?
Progress is always tracked: Your dashboard shows exactly how many Browser Console minutes you’ve used and how much time remains before a new TAC is needed.
You’ll see a warning: Before starting any automation that will cross into a new billing period (ex: you only have 5 minutes left and your next action may take 10), Browser Console will notify you and ask for approval before consuming an additional credit.
Example Scenarios
Scenario 1:
You use 15 minutes of Browser Console time today.
Tomorrow, you run another action for 10 minutes under the same Problem.
Result: Your first 20 minutes use up the original TAC.
The next 5 minutes begin a new TAC.
You’ll have 15 minutes remaining on your second credit for more automation on that Problem.
Scenario 2:
You have several Browser Console sessions on a single Problem (ex: appeal form, file upload, evidence submission), totaling 18 minutes.
No new credit is used until you reach a full 20 minutes and need more time.
Key Points
Credits are used per Problem, not per session.
Pausing, resuming, or waiting does not start a new credit.
Unused minutes roll over within each Problem until all 20 are spent.
Minutes round up, so a browser console session that runs for 1 minute 20 seconds will use 2 minutes of your credit.
You’ll always approve any action that requires new credits - no surprise charges.
Best Practices
Check your remaining Browser Console time before starting a big action.
Break complex workflows into steps and review progress - this helps you use your TACs efficiently.
If you need more time, just approve the use of an additional credit when prompted.
