How do I set a Profile Picture for a World entry?

Every World entry displays a profile picture in the entry list and detail view. Loophole automatically finds the best image using a priority system - but you can always set your own.

How the priority system works

Loophole picks a profile picture in this order:

  1. Custom upload - an image you've explicitly set

  2. Business Logo - logo auto-fetched from the business's website domain

  3. Default image match - breed, make, or type-based stock image

  4. Emoji fallback - if nothing else is available

Set a profile picture from an attached file

Option 1

  1. Open the entry and click the Files tab.

  2. Hover your cursor over the image and click on the star in the top left corner.

  3. Click Yes, Set.

Option 2

  1. Open the entry and click the Files tab.

  2. Click any attached image to open the preview modal.

  3. Click Set as Profile Pic.

  4. Click Yes, Set.

The active profile picture is marked with a star badge in the top left corner so you always know which file is in use.

Remove a profile picture

To clear a custom profile picture, click on the star in the top left corner -or open the file preview modal for the currently active image and click Remove as Profile Picture then Yes, Remove.

Loophole will fall back to the next option in the priority system automatically.

Automatic defaults by entry type

You don't have to set anything manually - Loophole tries to find a good image on its own:

  • Businesses: logos are fetched automatically from the business website, if available.

  • Pets: smart default images match the breed - 50+ dog and cat breeds supported.

  • Vehicles: default images match the vehicle make (Ford, Tesla, BMW, Toyota, and more).

  • All other entries: a clean emoji fallback if no image is available.
