If your problem is currently paused, you can unpause it at any time directly from your Problem Dashboard.
How to unpause
Open your Problem Dashboard for the paused problem
Click the dropdown arrow (next to the "Add Update" button) in the top right corner
Select Unpause Problem
Confirm your choice in the popup
That's it - your problem will resume immediately.
Exceptions
Depending on your account and problem status, you may see one of the following notices when you try to unpause:
Not enough credits
If you don't have at least 1 Tool Action Credit (TAC) available, you won't be able to unpause until you add one. This is because Research Console runs immediately after unpausing and requires at least 1 credit to operate. This does not mean Research Console will use a FULL credit, but it does need to be available just in case.
Pending desired outcome change
If you've submitted a desired outcome change that hasn't been approved yet, you'll see this warning. You can choose to unpause anyway, but it's not recommended. If you unpause before the change is approved, your problem will continue using your original approved desired outcome - not the new one you requested.
Our recommendation: Wait until your desired outcome change is approved before unpausing.
What happens when unpaused
Once you confirm, a few things happen:
You'll receive an email confirmation immediately
Research Console will automatically run to update itself on the current state of your problem - checking whether your strategy or workflow needs any adjustments, and whether it has any new questions for you
Status updates will be posted to your Problem Dashboard as Research Console completes its review
Automations will resume as normal
As always, you remain in control and nothing is sent without your permission.
A note about daily fees
Pausing or unpausing your problem does not change anything about daily maintenance fees - those apply to both active and paused problems after the first 30 days. See: What are Problem Dashboard daily fees?
Bottom line: Click the dropdown on your Problem Dashboard and select "Unpause Problem." Make sure you have at least 1 credit available, and if you have a pending desired outcome change, it's best to wait for approval before unpausing.
