What are Key Facts?

Updated over 2 months ago

Key Facts are the core, confirmed details that define your problem and guide Loophole’s strategy as we work to solve it. You’ll see Key Facts featured in your Problem Dashboard, where they act as the “truths” our tools rely on when drafting calls, emails, letters, and other actions on your behalf.

Why Key Facts Matter

  • They keep your problem on track: Everything Loophole does - whether it’s writing a letter, making a phone call, or suggesting a next step - is grounded in the Key Facts for your problem.

  • They clarify what’s accepted as true: This makes your problem more organized, prevents confusion, and ensures nothing critical is overlooked.

  • They help automate the right strategy: Loophole’s tools and AI will always use these facts as a foundation for every action.

Where Do Key Facts Come From?

Key Facts aren’t just random details - they’re carefully curated, and only facts that have been confirmed make it onto this list. Here’s how that happens:

  1. Your Intake and Documents:
When you first describe your situation and upload files (like emails, screenshots, contracts), Loophole AI scans for important details - dates, deadlines, demands, and more. If something is clear and relevant, it may be suggested as a Key Fact.

  2. Theories You Approve:
Not everything is known for sure at the start. Sometimes, Loophole or you will propose a possible scenario, explanation, or strategy - these are called Theories. Loophole investigates these in the background using the Research Console.

    • When a theory looks strong enough, you’ll see it in a popup and can review or confirm it.

    • Once you confirm a theory, the relevant parts are promoted into Key Facts - with sources and supporting details.

  3. Major New Developments:
If something important happens after your problem is opened - like you receive a new letter from your landlord, or get a policy update from the other side - just upload the new information or add an update. Loophole AI will scan it and, if the detail is critical, automatically add it as a new Key Fact.

What Makes a Good Key Fact?

  • Relevant: It directly impacts your problem or the strategy.

  • Clear and Confirmed: Not just speculation or a guess - only details you or the system have verified.

  • Has a Source: Each Key Fact will show where it came from (your upload, an email, a confirmed theory, etc.).

Can Key Facts Change?

Yes - if something is incorrect or changes, it’s important to update it right away.

  • If you spot an error, click on the Key Fact and follow the instructions to report or update it.

  • When a Key Fact is changed or removed, Loophole automatically investigates how this affects your problem and will adjust the workflow or strategy as needed.

Where Are Key Facts Used?

Key Facts are:

  • Displayed in the Problem Dashboard for easy reference.

  • Used by Loophole’s tools whenever a call script, letter, or email is generated.

  • Referenced for quick answers when Loophole asks for clarification or follow-up.

  • Kept private - they’re not shared with outside parties unless you approve their inclusion in outgoing documents.

How Do I See How a Key Fact Was Added?

Just click on a Key Fact to learn how it became part of your problem. You’ll see its source (such as “Confirmed theory: Landlord demanded move-out by May 3,” or “Uploaded document: Screenshot of text message from landlord”).

Summary:

Key Facts are the essential truths guiding your problem within Loophole. They’re confirmed, sourced, and kept up to date, ensuring every action Loophole takes on your behalf is built on solid ground.
