Reporting Inaccurate AI Data

Updated over 3 months ago

When you upload a file, Loophole automatically generates AI data for it - including a short description, full description, and transcription or OCR text (if applicable). This data helps you search and organize your files.

If the AI got something wrong, you can report it and our team will review and correct it.

How to Report Incorrect AI Data

  1. Go to your Files page

  2. Click on the file with incorrect AI data

  3. Select the AI Data tab

  4. Review the data that's incorrect (Full Description, OCR Data, etc.)

  5. Click Report AI Data

  6. Describe what's wrong with the AI data

  7. Click Submit Report

What Happens Next?

Our team reviews AI data reports within 12 hours. If the data is incorrect, we'll update it directly.

You can check the status of your report anytime:

  • Go to the file and click the AI Data tab

  • The button will now say Reported instead of "Report AI Data"

  • Click it to view your report status and any notes from Loophole

Once resolved, the corrected AI data will appear in your file. You can also see the full history in the Logs tab on that file.

Closing Your Report

If you submitted a report by mistake or realized the AI data was actually correct, you can close your own report while it's still in "New" status.

How to close a report:

  1. Go to the file you reported

  2. Click the AI Data tab

  3. Click Reported to view your report details

  4. Click Close Report

  5. Confirm you want to close it

Note: If you close a report, you cannot submit a new report for the same file. Only close a report if you're sure the AI data doesn't need correction.

What Should I Report?

Report AI data that is:

  • Factually incorrect (wrong description of what's in the file)

  • Missing important information

  • Contains obvious errors in the transcription or OCR

You don't need to report minor imperfections - AI descriptions don't have to be perfect, just accurate enough to be useful.
